Last week I made another dollar and learned how hard it is to grow on Instagram. This week I didn’t spend much time on the blog because I was busy working on some puzzles I got as gifts, but I still made another dollar (mostly thanks to my husband again 🤣).
Here’s what I managed to accomplish with the limited time I spent on the blog:
Content
- Wrote about Amsterdam and travel gear.
- Created IG post for Amsterdam.
- Published the second edition of the newsletter.

High / Lowlights

- ❌ No Amazon affiliate revenue from the travel gear post.
- ✅ Made $1/week twice in a row!
Final Thoughts
Blog views have hovered around ~50/week for a while, so I need to do something about growth. Facebook groups have been a good referral source, so I can try creating a Facebook page next. I also need to create more niche content to rank higher in search. My average position has been increasing for two weeks, which means I’m starting to show up for more terms but further down the page.
Next week I plan to:
- Draft more guides and IG posts
- Continue sharing blog links in Facebook
- Create a Facebook page for the blog
Come back next week to see whether a Facebook page can bring more traffic to the blog!
